Differentiate between stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination and provide an example of each

What will be an ideal response?

Stereotypes are widely held beliefs that people have certain traits because they belong to a particular group. Stereotypes are often inaccurate and frequently portray the members of less powerful, less controlling groups more negatively than members of more powerful or more controlling groups.

Prejudice refers to an unfair, biased, or intolerant attitude toward another group of people. An example of prejudice is believing that overweight women are not as intelligent, competent, or capable as women of normal weight.

Discrimination refers to specific unfair behaviors exhibited toward members of a group. An employer's bias against hiring overweight applicants is an example of discrimination.
