Describe justified text and the text-align property included with CSS. What is the impact of using the justified text-align property, and is it a recommended property?
What will be an ideal response?
Justified text is text that is spaced so that both the left and right margins are even, unlike normal text, which usually has a ragged right margin. CSS includes a text-align property that allows you to dictate that text be aligned to the left, aligned to the right, centered, or justified. Some formal print publications feature justified text because it has a clean-edged, orderly appearance. However, without any means to control hyphenation and with all the variations in visitors' computer configurations, justified text on screen can end up having large ribbons of white space running through it. This makes it fairly strange in appearance and difficult to read, so using the Justified text-align property is not recommended.
