Explain the cause of the greenhouse effect.
What will be an ideal response?
Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere naturally helps retain the heat of the Earth. As more carbon dioxide is added to our atmosphere, along with other greenhouse gases, more heat is held close to the surface of the Earth. Global warming has some dire consequences. Weather patterns will change; ice caps will melt; and flooding will occur along coastlines, where many major cities happen to be located.

A mutation creates a dominant negative allele of a particular gene. The gene encodes a protein that forms a trimer within the cell.
