Briefly describe the difference between an optimal solution and a satisficing solution.

An optimal solution is clearly the best solution.  It has the lowest cost and most benefits compared with other solutions.  A satisficing solution is one that solves a problem in a reasonable way, but it not necessarily the best (optimal).
