What are some of the questions you may need to ask yourself to determine the robot’s operation at each point?
What will be an ideal response?
Does the robot stop at that point? Does it open or close a gripper at that point?
Do we need to turn on a welder, paint sprayer, glue dispenser, etc.? Do we need
the robot to hit that point exactly or just get near it? Some systems give you the
option of hitting the point exactly or just getting close to decrease the time it takes
to complete the program or cycle time. You may have to pause at a point so the
gripper or glue applicator can do their job.
