Describe the structure of DNA using the accompanying figure as a reference

What will be an ideal response?

In the Watson–Crick model of DNA, two polynucleotide strands are coiled around a central axis, forming a helix. Hydrogen bonds between the bases hold the two strands together. In DNA, adenine (A) always pairs with thymine (T) on the opposite strand, and cytosine (C) always pairs with guanine (G). The two polynucleotide chains in DNA run in opposite directions. The base sequences in each strand are complementary.
