What will be an ideal response?
Varies. During this time period, women expected men to more fully share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning, while men valued the traditional family where women were responsible for private life. But as women increasingly worked for pay few men picked up the slack at home. Many families found themselves overstretched and conflict ridden over who should do what.
