How can people tell if they are adequately hydrated each day?

Observing the color and amount of urine each day is an easy way to determine hydration status. If the urine is pale and plentiful, the person is adequately hydrated. If the urine is bright yellow and of a small amount, the person may be dehydrated and their body is conserving water by not producing as much urine. The body loses most of its water through the urine as well.
