Using an example, explain the advantage of applying a spatial science perspective to understanding or solving a physical geography-related problem

One possible example is comparing a grassland region of North America to one in Africa to understand why plants and animals vary between the two. Without using characteristics, spatial distributions and patterns to define useful regions, understanding the reasons for differences between the two grassland regions would be more difficult to answer.
