List and describe the two segments of the SNA protocol stack.

What will be an ideal response?

The SNA protocol stack is divided into two segments called the Path Control Network and the NAU network.

The Path Control Network portion is responsible for the delivery of network information. The Advanced Communications Function/Network Control Program (ACF/NCP) is used to manage the Path Control Network.

The NAU Network layers of the network are responsible for controlling the process to move the data between the source and the destination. An NAU (Network Addressable Unit) is any entity on the network that can be assigned a network address. These entities are grouped into three categories called a host, a communications controller, and a peripheral. The communication between two NAUs is called a session.
