Explain the diff erence between a digital signal and an analog signal.
What will be an ideal response?
A digital signal is a series of pulses that represent the ones and zeroes in our message, and an analog signal is a smooth, continuous wave (remember the garden hose analogy). Computers use digital signals; analog signals are transmitted on copper wire pairs. Digital signals have a number of advantages over analog, including less power required, less prone to interference, and easier error correction.
