Describe the process of transformational change in coherence therapy.

What will be an ideal response?

Coherence therapy posits that two specific experiences are present any time a transformational change occurs. In the first experience, the client comes into a direct, emotional awareness of something that he or she had been fully unconscious of but that was having a significant impact on his or her life. In the second experience, the client encounters a distinct emotional knowing that completely contradicts the awareness discovered in the first experience. The juxtaposition of these two experiences is what brings about transformational change.
