Describe how to test the Samba configuration.
What will be an ideal response?
After you have configured your smb.conf file, you need to restart the Samba server daemons for the changes to take effect. However, before doing so, you should use the testparm command at the shell prompt to test the syntax of your Samba configuration file.
If there were any errors in the file, the command would display the errors grouped by configuration sections.
An interesting option for testparm is --section-name section_name, which tests only the specified section. This can be very useful when you have a very long smb.conf.
