Briefly describe the instructional procedures found in Format 10.1: Introducing Division

Part A of Format 10.1: Introducing Division begins with the teacher modeling and testing the translation of a division problem. Part B is a structured board presentation in which the teacher demonstrates with the lines the process of taking a big group and making smaller, equal-sized groups. When working the problem, the teacher points out the function of the numbers in a problem. Parts C and D are structured and less structured worksheets in which students are given problems to solve with the lines already drawn.
