Describe the differences between fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibers

What will be an ideal response?

Slow-twitch muscles fibers do not contract as fast as fast-twitch muscles; they have a lot of mitochondria, high levels of myoglobin, and a plentiful blood supply. Fast-twitch fibers twitch faster and more strongly than slow-twitch muscle fibers; they have fewer mitochondria and a smaller blood supply.
