Describe two factors that can reduce the validity of the traditional interview

What will be an ideal response?

Social psychological factors strongly influence the interview process, often drawing the
interviewer's attention away from features relevant to evaluating a candidate's
potential. One such factor is the physical attractiveness of the applicant. Attractive
applicants are consistently rated higher than unattractive, or even simply plain,
applicants with the same qualifications. Applicant confidence is a second feature that
may not necessarily be relevant to a candidate's ability to perform a given job, but
biases the interviewer's ratings. Applicants who appear confident, even with weaker
qualifications, are likely to be rated more positively by an interviewer than highly
qualified applicants who are not as confident.
