Why is coevolution between plants and animals probably more important in angiosperms than

gymnosperms?

What will be an ideal response?

The pollen of gymnosperms is dispersed by wind while the pollen of many, but not all, angiosperms is
dispersed by animals. Therefore, angiosperms would have coevolved with pollinators. The fact that
angiosperms have distinctive flowers, scents, and sugary nectar to attract and reward animals, and that
plant-pollinator relationships are often very specific, is evidence of coevolution.
