Compare and contrast breast-feeding with bottle-feeding

What will be an ideal response?

Breast-feeding may offer several benefits for both mother and child. Many people believe that breast milk is easier to digest and that there are fewer allergies involved with breast milk than with cow's milk. Moreover, bottle-feeding may be associated with a possible increase in digestive problems, such as constipation and obesity. Breast-feeding provides immunological benefits for the child as well because colostrum and maternal milk contain antibodies and proteins that boost the infant's immune system; bottle-fed infants will not receive these benefits. In addition, because the breast-fed infant must work harder to feed, this exertion may promote the development of the jaws, teeth, and facial muscles. Breast-feeding is not recommended, however, if the mother is taking medications that can be transferred to the infant or if the mother is HIV-positive; in these situations, bottle-feeding is necessary.
