How does preparing a seedbed for forages differ from preparing a seedbed for field crops?

What will be an ideal response?

One difference between preparing a seedbed for most forages and one for field crops is that the texture
of the soil in the seedbed must be finer and the seedbed somewhat firmer for forage crops than is
necessary for most field crops. This is because most forage plants have very small seeds that have
difficulty making firm contact with the soil in seedbeds unless the soil is finely textured.
