Discuss the importance of matching intervention to specific case context, and child behavior. Give an example of how this works.

What will be an ideal response?

Because EBTs typically target specific outcomes, it is important to ensure the treatment matches up with the case context (e.g., child/parent problems). The authors explain that if children have internalizing problems a direct mental health intervention with the child should be taken. On the other hand, if the child is having behavior problems the intervention should focus on the parent or caregiver responses to the child.
