What does r/K theory argue? What social policies can be enacted based on this theory to reduce crime?

What will be an ideal response?

The r/K theory (sometimes called “differential K theory”) stresses that organisms vary in their approaches to reproduction, with rapidly producing organisms following an “r strategy” emphasizing production of large numbers of offspring without spending much time caring for each one, while other organisms follow a “K strategy” involving slower reproduction with careful devotion to each offspring (Ellis, 1987, 1989; Rushton, 1990, 1995). According to r/K theory, criminal behavior should be more associated with the “r strategy.” Markers for this would include low birth weight, large numbers of siblings, and earlier involvement in sexual activity. Activities that assist in parenting.
