The Code of Ethics outlines the ethical responsibilities of social workers, including responsibilities to ensure that clients receive the best services possible. These principles include: to exploit all resources in the interest of improving the lives of clients, including resources to evaluate programs; to provide services that are effective and helpful to clients; and to focus on social justice in the interest of interrupting the oppression of high risk groups dispensed by prominent social institutions. Students will gave varying answers about why they personally believe evaluation is an ethical responsibility.
