What is the difference between compounding and wet sanding?
What will be an ideal response?
Wet sanding involves using a water resistant, ultrafine sandpaper and water to level the paint. Compounding, or buffing, may be required to smooth newly painted surfaces, after wet sanding, for example, or to remove a thin layer of old, dull paint. Compounding makes the paint smooth and shiny.
