An objective is a desired goal an organization has decided to pursue. These objectives can be classified as efficient or effective. Efficiency means that a process creates more output with the same inputs or the same output with fewer inputs. An effective objective helps achieve an organizational strategy. To summarize, an efficiency objective aims to conserve resources, whereas an effectiveness objective helps achieve a company strategy.
