Describe what hurricanes are, were they originate, how they grow, and how they die
What will be an ideal response?
Hurricanes are collections of rotating thunderclouds that form out of the warm, water-vapor rich air that resides over tropical oceans. As water vapor condenses to make liquid cloud droplets, the clouds build. If there is a low-pressure zone, the warm air and developing clouds are pulled toward it. Condensation continues as the clouds collect at the low-pressure zone. Condensation releases heat energy to the environment, so as the hurricane gets bigger through condensation, its energy increases. The hurricane then travels and rotates faster. Hurricanes die when they move over land because they don't have an energy source there.
