In what situations would you change the default data field calculations settings of a PivotTable?
What will be an ideal response?
The ability to vary data field calculations is one of the strengths of PivotTables. They are best used in situations in which the default calculation settings would yield misleading results. For example when evaluating survey results based on age ranges in which each age group is not equally represented in the results. If the value fields are set to sum, this will yield results the lean towards the largest represented group.
