Describe the different types of grille outlets.

What will be an ideal response?

A grille is a rectangular opening with vanes that direct the airstream as it leaves an outlet. Adjustable grilles have adjustable vertical or horizontal vanes that deflect airstream in a horizontal or vertical direction. Some types have two sets of vanes at right angles to each other. Fixed bar grilles have vanes that cannot be moved. Variable area grilles (also called registers) have dampers that can vary the size of an outlet, thus varying the air that passes through. Stamped grilles are simply a flat sheet with openings that permit air to pass with no control of direction or volume.
