Explain the advantages and disadvantages of using projection aids during your speech

What will be an ideal response?

Projection is especially appropriatewhen your audience is too large to see the presentational aid easily and clearly. But as a beginning public speaker, you need to control and be theprimary focus of the public speaking event. When you stand at the back of the room
and narrate a slide show, you get little experience in speaking before an audience. Presentational
aids must always support, not become, your speech. Also note that there are some occasions when using PowerPoint is counterproductive: when youare trying to engage your audience's emotions or imaginations, when you are primarilyinterested in connecting with your listeners, when you want your listeners to beactively involved in creating the presentation with you, when your preparation timeis limited, and when your audience suffers from PowerPoint fatigue.
