What is the difference between trade sales promotions and consumer sales promotions?

What will be an ideal response?

The whole idea behind all sales promotions is to generate interest and excitement around a product. Any incentives to push a product through the distribution system to final consumers are called trade (or business-to-business) sales promotions. Consumer sales promotions are aimed at the end users, or final consumers. Consumer sales promotions are intended to increase demand for a good or a service by providing that extra incentive to tip consumers in favor of a specific brand.
