Describe how a leader can appropriately ask a member to leave a group?
What will be an ideal response?
When asking a member to leave, the leader should be tactful and respectful, ideally waiting to do so while in a dyad or at the end of a session to prevent a power struggle from occurring. Meeting with the member after group ends also allows for privacy in this problem situation. If asking the member to leave must be done in the middle of the session, the leader should explain why to the group and then ask the member to leave. Afterwards, the leader should also provide the member with a list of appropriate referrals.
