Explain why crime scene sketches are important, even if the scene has been documented using video and photography

What will be an ideal response?

• The crime scene sketch complements photographs and videos taken of the scene. Because videos and photos may tend to distort the dimensions of the crime scene, a properly prepared crime scene sketch is all the more important to a well-documented crime scene. Sketches can also show certain details, like distance between objects and scope of the entire crime scene, better than photographs can.
