Describe garage rock and how it relates to the music of the Kings of Leon.
What will be an ideal response?
Garage Rock comes from a style that developed in the sixties when American bands were trying to emulate the sounds they heard when British bands played live. The term "garage" meant that the sound was a like a real, live band that you would hear if recorded playing in a garage, as opposed to a recording studio with lots of equipment. The Kings of Leon combined the Postpunk "garage" sound, while combining it with the influences of Southern Rock.
