What are the differences between a hot quartz and cold quartz UVR generator?
What will be an ideal response?
The hot quartz lamps use low voltages and high temperatures to produce all three bands of UVR. The cold quartz lamps use high voltages and low temperatures and usually produce only the UVC band (except Kromayer). The cold quartz lamp is usually positioned much closer to the target tissue when compared to the hot quartz lamp.
