How is institutional racism embedded in schools?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary but should include a definition of institutional racism as race-based discrimination that results from day-to-day operations of social institutions and structures. In school, rules, polices, and practices may be built to unfairly discriminate against minority students as a way of policing behavior. For example, telling students that they cannot have braids or dreadlocks.
