Ohm's Law is one of the fundamental principles of physics

What will be an ideal response?

Hardly; it usefully applies only to what are known as linear resistors. It is always
true that V = iR, but it is only useful when R is a constant. Light bulbs are resistors, but their
voltage increases roughly as the square of the current because the heated filament is a better
conductor (poorer resistor) than a colder filament.
