Describe the path of sound as it goes through the ear to the brain

Sound travels in waves from the outer ear, through the middle ear, and into the cochlea of the inner ear. Theses waves are transmitted by nerve fibers to the auditory region of the brain where sensations of sound are perceived within the cerebral cortex.
