Answer: In capitalist society, the two major classes are the bourgeoisie who own the factories and other modern means of production, and the proletariat, who work for the bourgeoisie. The bourgeoisie’s primary interest is to maintain its dominance by exploitation and oppression; the proletariat’s primary interest is to eliminate oppression by overthrowing the bourgeoisie. Opinions will vary.
