Describe the two types of behavior you might see in a student with attachment disorder, and describe how you would deal with such a student.

What will be an ideal response?

Students with attachment disorder would either be really distant and removed, or would be clingy and in the face of adults all the time. For the first category, I would first of all make sure to be honest at all times and build the trust of the student. I would try to be reliable as well. I would not force myself into the child’s business, but always be available and try to make all of our interactions pleasant. I would also make sure to avoid negativity or punishment when dealing with that student.
