Often fathers are working during school hours and after school events. They may feel like strangers to the school and may be socialized not to be involved in schools. Schools should be flexible on meeting times and get to know a family's situation in order to create family-friendly communities. Schools must create opportunities for fathers to become involved and encourage their involvement.
