The bell rang. Mr. Velcro looked up and said, "Johnnie, can you stay after class for a minute. I need to speak with you.
Johnnie looked startled, "Um, sure."
Mr. Velcro waited until everyone else left. Then he said, "I looked at your homework and Liz's homework and they're almost exactly alike. Can you explain this?"
Johnnie looked startled. "No," she squeaked.
Mr. Velcro looked at her closely, "I know you are a good a steady student. Did you let Liz copy your homework?"
"Liz wouldn't do that," Johnnie whispered, looking down at the floor. "She's not like that. I don't know why they are alike. Maybe she figured out the same things I did."
"It's possible," said Mr. Velcro. "Just make sure you aren't giving away your hard work."
