Mary Jo often spends time talking to her table group about topics not related to the instructional task. Design a DRO procedure to decrease non-instructional talk and to increase instructional talk.
What will be an ideal response?
I don’t exactly know what is considered non-instructional talk. But, as a teacher I would set a timer to check on the behavior every 10 minutes. I would make sure that I respond with positive reinforcement if the behavior isn’t occurring. Lastly, I would slowly decrease the time interval to check on the student as the behavior decreases in frequency.
