Explain the kinesthetic sense, and provide an example, other than woodworking, of a student using the kinesthetic sense.

What will be an ideal response?

The body’s kinesthetic sense provides knowledge about the body, its parts, and its movements. All movement experiences add to children’s growing understanding of what their bodies can do, their increasing control over their bodies, and their sense of self-confidence in their physical abilities. Kinesthetic sense involves understanding how the parts of the body work and what they can do. One example would be a student learning to hit a tennis ball. The student would have to know how and where to stand, how to hold and swing the racket, and how hard to hit the ball and how to aim the shot.
