How do advertisements perpetuate gender norms?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary but may discuss that advertisements feature men and women in ways that are compliant with traditional gender norms. Furthermore, men are often hypermasculine, while women are often hyperfeminine. Women are often shown as weak, while men are shown as strong and powerful. This communicates daily the expectations that men and women face in society because advertisements are virtually everywhere--on our televisions, phones, magazines, and so on.
