Explain the term normative philosophy, and illustrate your explanation with a classroom example
What will be an ideal response?
Normative philosophy is a description of the way something ought to beāsuch as the way educators, physicians, or other professionals ought to practice. For example, if a teacher, such as Allie in the chapter, believes that kids need extensive background knowledge to learn new ideas, then instruction should emphasize helping students acquire extensive background knowledge. This is the way instruction "ought to be."
