Briefly explain the concept of anticipatory communication

What will be an ideal response

Chinese culture places a great deal of emphasis on the listener. Infinite interpretation is one of the main principles of Chinese communication. It is understood by both speaker and listener that the listener can make infinite interpretations of what has been said. Anticipatory communication is a related concept that is common in Japan. Instead of the speaker having to tell or ask explicitly for what he or she wants, listeners guess and accommodate his or her needs, sparing him or her the embarrassment that could arise if the verbally expressed request could not be met.
