What will be an ideal response?
Example should state that this type of jury is considered deadlocked or a hung jury. The judge may encourage a verdict using additional instructions called an “Allen charge” to attempt to break the deadlock. Otherwise, a mistrial is declared and the prosecution can choose to try the case again.
