Why did T.E. Lawrence become disgusted with British actions in Arab lands?

What will be an ideal response?

Lawrence was a British officer stationed in the Ottoman empire and worked towards leading Arabs to rise up against the Ottomans. He even dressed up in Arab garb to lead the Arabs against the Turkish troops directly. Many British and Arab personnel died in this venture. Later, however, France and Britain conducted negotiations to divide up the Ottoman territories under the auspices of the Sykes-Picot Agreement, and it became clear that the territories were being allocated in furthering European colonialism. No land was allocated for Arab independence. Further complicating the issue was the Balfour Declaration, which saw that the British government indicated willingness to set aside land in Palestine to create a Zionist homeland, specifically hoping to engender Jewish support for the Allied powers. Lawrence resigned in disgust.
