Describe the difference between cytokinesis in animal and plant cells
What will be an ideal response?
As plant cells have a cell wall, actin filaments cannot simply separate the two daughter cells via the constriction of actin filaments, as is seen in animal cells. In plant cells, vesicles converge at the equator of the cell, merge, and ultimately form two new cell walls, with two new cell membranes on the inside of each.
