How is ineffective parenting dangerous to a child's future?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Researchers have found that parental behavior can increase or decrease in adolescents' risk for delinquency and behavioral problems. Thus the most critical factor in the development of a child is an effective parent. Issues such as poor monitoring, low levels of positive parent-child involvement, and coercive parenting are among the practices that are believed to affect aggression and bullying in juveniles. If children are left without proper parental supervision, they could be victimized by overly aggressive siblings or other children. Many parents have the unrealistic expectation of having their older siblings care for younger children in the family. These older children are too immature or for the responsibility, which should not be their responsibility. Sometimes parents are so wrapped up with their problems that they fail to properly monitor and mediate conflicts that arise between their children.
