How are stereotyping and prejudice related?

Prejudice is often the result of stereotyping. When we place someone into an allencompassing and inflexible category, a stereotype, we may use that placement to prejudge them
based upon insufficient information. When your stereotypes are inaccurate, they may result in
harmful prejudices.
